 Looking for an exciting educational program for your school? Our hands-on animal presentations are unique and entertaining for all grade levels. Have a show in your class room as a special treat for your students, or a reward for hard work. Each animal presentation can be customized by our trained and knowledgeable staff to work into your curriculum.
Planning a field trip? California Pets invites you and your students to enjoy a 60 min. animal presentation under our spacious beach palapa. Why not stay for lunch? Whether it’s sack lunches, or a pizza party, children can sit and enjoy their meal while listening to the sounds of the pets around them.
Program topics include but are not limited to:- Pet Care - Our educational programs are designed to teach kids about pets and pet care. We’ll talk about what all pets need to live the fullest and happiest lives.
- Mammals – Furry and cuddly, mammals are the most common pets in today’s homes. We’ll share some ordinary and not-so-ordinary 4 legged friends featuring “Dusty” the chinchilla, “Fluffy” the hairless rat, and “Twinkie” the teddy bear hamster.
- Reptiles & Amphibians -Snakes, lizards, and frogs, oh my! Through our hands-on learning experience, children will explore the similarities and differences between reptiles and amphibians.
- Insects & Arachnids – Yes, bugs can be pets too! We’ll dispel myths about these misunderstood invertebrates, while teaching an appreciation for creepy crawly critters.
- Senses - Look, listen, touch & smell. Animals have many sensory adaptations that help them to survive and fit into our environment. Children will learn how animals use their senses, and how they may differ from ours.
